*Cover Reveal* Within These Walls by J.L Berg

We're so excited to reveal the cover for WITHIN THESE WALLS by J.L. Berg, which releases August 18th!

  WTW iBooks

About WITHIN THESE WALLS:

Within these walls, he became my solace, my sanctuary and my strength. I am not strong. I am just a survivor of circumstance. Isn’t that what we all do? Survive? Each of us has our own set of circumstances to muddle through. Mine are just more…complicated. Born with a severe heart defect, I’ve seen the inside of a hospital room more than my own bedroom. I was drowning, a prisoner to the illness that owned me, until he appeared. He thinks he’s blocked out the world with his tattoos and hard exterior, but I see the real Jude, the one he so desperately wants to forget. But is he the answer to my prayers or will he break my already damaged heart forever? My name is Lailah Buchanan, and this is our story of hope, redemption and sacrificing it all for the one you love.

Prologue

Within these walls he became my solace, my sanctuary and my strength.
Like a white knight, he saved me from a life of gray and showed me a world full of color.
Within these walls, I gave myself to a man who said he would always fight for me.
Love me until the end of time.
But sometimes, not even love is enough when life gets in the way.
When your heart is already damaged beyond repair, what is there left to break?
Within these walls, I gave my less than perfect heart to the man I loved.
And then…he walked away.

Review In The Now By Joan Duszynski

Morning Addict's

I'm back once again to bring you all a review, this is book 2 in Joan Duszynksi's  In the Moments series. Finally we get Tara and Adam's story. I was so excited when Joan contacted me on GoodReads to let me know that book two was out. Now with all books(except for the ones I purchase myself) are given to me for an honest review, and I can't wait to share with you all my thought on In the Now. So with out further delay. Here's my full review of In The Now.

                                                                       Synopsis
18591591When the heartache of what Tara Wright believed was her love and life plan with her high school sweetheart follows her into a new year. Tara begins to rely on the three new and beautiful friendships that came compellingly into her life.

Caroline, easily becoming the perfect best friend for Tara. Thru Caroline she receives the encouragingly, witty Raleigh as a new found friend as well. Meeting Adam at a time where she needs to rediscover herself has her scared and confused. Every moment spent with him has her head swirling and her stubborn walls weakening.

Adam is the man that can make her laugh, give her support, and make her heart skip a beat every time he comes into view. He's everything Tara needs to make her way back out of her stubborn shell of fear she's closed herself into.

Finally starting to spend more time together and watching Adam in his realm of adrenaline induced racing at the Motocross has Tara's weakening walls finally crumbling to the ground and singeing in the heat Adam brings to her.

Has it all just been a crazy ride to recognize true love? Can Adam fix Tara's broken heart and make her believe that their love is In The Now?

My Review

This story revolves around Tara and Adam if you all are new to this series and don't know or need a refresher you can click Here for my review on In The Stars Book the first book in the In The Moments Series.

Now that you are all caught up.

Ladies
Be
Prepaired

This story should come with a warning lable

This story contains alot of swoon and melt your panties moments. Like I stated before we are introduced to Tara in Into the Stars when she thought Caroline was with her then boyfriend.  We pick up Tara's story at Caroline's mothers wedding. Tara finally decided that she no longer wants to hide her true feelings for Adam. There is a slight problem with that he's with(but not with) another woman.  Can she win Adam over without ruining their friendship in the process or will she be heartbroken all over again.

This story for me has a lot of tender moments with Tara and Adam. I liked how Tara decided not to just throw herself at Adam but by winning him over by being honest and straight forward with him with what she wants. That also goes with Adam also, he is very up front with Tara and lets her know that he's in it for the long haul.

Now where there is sexy there is also funny. There are also moments where I laughed out loud at the banter between Adam and Tara, and Tara and Raleigh. Adam can only be described as a big goof ball, but he's also a devoted brother and uncle to two adorable niece and nephew.

I loved the fact that no matter what Tara's insecurities about her own family Adam was there to comfort and reassure her.

Tara's brother Eric can be a bit overbearing and overprotective when it comes to her(please refer to into the stars review lol) but I overlooked that because he is her older brother after all lol.

Now with all the good comes the bad.. Namely Adam's on again off again booty call Marissa. Marissa is your typical girl who was hoping for something more but didn't get the guy. She in my opinion is a major bitch who was clingy and insecure. You really don't get to read much about her in the book but her presence is there and I can see why Tara was hesitant when she was moving forward with Adam.

I loved Tara and Adam's story and did not want it to end. But I know like Caroline and Eric's story continued with In the Now. I know that Tara and Adam's story will continue with Raleigh's *hint hint*   story.

If your looking for swoon worthy men and good humor with some drama mixed in. Then In the Now is for you. I will recommend that you  read In the Stars first to get Tara's back story and get to know Caroline, Eric and Raleigh.

YA review: Shadow Falls Series CC Hunter

Hey Addicts! I'm back again...............oh yeah.............and I've got a good one for you today:
The Shadow Falls Series by CC Hunter is one of my favorites of the last two years! I’ll try and do this series review without too many spoilers, but consider yourselves warned……. There be spoilers a comin’
This great series had 5 books and 2 novellas. Here are all the books listed in order. (I’m only giving you the synopsis for the first book, click on the links of the others to go to GR and read the blurbs of the rest of the books)

Born at Midnight (Shadow Falls, #1) --Welcome to Shadow Falls camp, nestled deep in the woods of a town called Fallen…
One night Kylie Galen finds herself at the wrong party, with the wrong people, and it changes her life forever. Her mother ships her off to Shadow Falls—a camp for troubled teens, and within hours of arriving, it becomes painfully clear that her fellow campers aren’t just “troubled.” Here at Shadow Falls, vampires, werewolves, shapeshifters, witches and fairies train side by side—learning to harness their powers, control their magic and live in the normal world.
Kylie’s never felt normal, but surely she doesn’t belong here with a bunch of paranormal freaks either. Or does she? They insist Kylie is one of them, and that she was brought here for a reason. As if life wasn’t complicated enough, enter Derek and Lucas. Derek’s a half-fae who’s determined to be her boyfriend, and Lucas is a smokin’ hot werewolf with whom Kylie shares a secret past. Both Derek and Lucas couldn’t be more different, but they both have a powerful hold on her heart.
Even though Kylie feels deeply uncertain about everything, one thing is becoming painfully clear—Shadow Falls is exactly where she belongs…
This series is a paranormal/fantasy blend that follows a whole cast of fun, turbulent and snarky cool characters. But our main heroine is Kylie Galen.
After being busted at a party with beer, Kylie’s cold hearted mom sends her to a summer camp for “troubled teens”—aka Shadow Falls. What she and her mom don’t know is that this is not a camp that whips bad kids into shape……no no no. It’s a camp for people who are supernatural beings! And Kylie is about to start down a “quest” that has so many secrets—about herself, her family and the people around her—it’s a wonder we can keep up. But be assured…….you can!
Yes, this book had vampires and werewolves, but it also features many other kinds of supernatural beings. Shifter, witches, fae and the most mystifying of all—chameleons. But don’t be fooled by common perception, as Kylie and her crew were for a while. These paranormal creatures all have their own cool spin off from the norm!
Kylie is a great heroine! She was easy to connect with, the perfect blend of snappy and sweet, but insecure (and really, who wouldn’t be when you learn your real father is dead and you are a paranormal no one has ever seen before!) But her unique. “freak” attention drawing status doesn’t stop her from gaining two of the best gal-pals a girl could ask for.
Della is the overly snarky, stoic, headstrong newly turned vampire. And Miranda, a dyslexic witch who wants nothing more than to become a kick ass witch! These two besties often end up in bust a gut funny verbal sparring matches.
Miranda, however, has to get her dyslexic spells under control and stop turning Burnett (the tough ass FRU agent turned surrogate father for all the girls, and security guard/co principal of Shadow Falls) into a kangaroo. That’s right, you heard me. A kangaroo!
Well, maybe we’ll ask her to do that a few more times. It was downright funny picturing such a hard ass, hotheaded government agent hopping around like he’s ready to go 10 rounds with the champ!
And that brings me to another supporting character, the camp leader/matriarch figure, Holiday. Holiday is a sweet, loyal, brave and loving fae who becomes like a sister to Kylie, their bond made stronger by the fact they are both ghost whisperers and can go to the Falls and see the Death Angels—without totally freaking their sh!t out and running away like a cat trying to escape a bath.
                               description
Holiday is Kylie’s sounding board for so many problems, about half of which revolves around her two love interests: Lucas and Derek.
Yep, you heard me, there’s a love triangle.
Don’t go getting up in arms, this is not your usual teen romance triangle. It all starts with Derek, on the bus, the day she went to Shadow Falls. Lucas doesn’t even show up until about half way through the first book, and he’s majorly absent for the rest of the book, after his brief intro. This carries over into the first part of the second book, Awake at Dawn. By the time things with Lucas really take off, things with Kylie and Derek have already cooled and gotten tangled up in a way that only teen romance can. A big part of that is because of one of Derek’s fae abilities—the ability to feel the magnified emotions of the person he loves: Kylie. And I mean EVERYTHING, folks. Including Kylie’s guilty attraction to the werewolf, Lucas
Ah Lucas………Lucas is a stubborn and possessive and totally ruthless in his quest to win Kylie’s heart for good. But, oh boy, at the end of Whispers of Moonrise, does he ever learn how costly it is to keep secrets from the girl you love! And it’s only made worse by the fact his pack doesn’t want him with someone who’s not a werewolf!
I admit, I wavered a lot on which team to choose—Team Derek or Team Lucas. Both had hot, sweet, sexy and romantic scenes with Kylie through the whole series. In the end, Lucas is the guy I would’ve chosen. Mostly because he’s the alpha type, and I am definitely the alpha type of girl! Not that Derek wasn’t a tough guy, he was, he just ended up not having the pull that Lucas did in the end.
The big-baddies: This series had a few. Though the whole bad guy plot of Born at Midnight doesn’t really tie into the bad guy arc of the rest of the series, it sets everything else up quite nicely. Of all the baddies-Mario and his son John terrified me the most. That was because, while being paranormal, they were just so evilly human. Or at least a representation of human’s darker, more evilly sadistic side. Books get real when you’ve got villains that would easily blend into everyday life. There could even be one next to you right now… BOO!
Ha ha, just kidding, I hope….
But I think you’ve gotten my points. This series ROCKS it out like Beyoncé! BUT I will say, of all the books, Born at Midnight was my least favorite (which is why, as a series rating, this series only gets a four star)
The characters, plots, arcs, descriptions and relationships that form and break are beyond great! I recommend this series to any girl over the age of 12, and parent’s don’t’ worry, it’s clean—just some REALLY HOT make out scenes!
If you find yourself addicted, after you finish the Shadow Falls series, don’t worry. CC Hunter has created a spin off series based around Della!!! Insert fan girl squeal here!
                              description
But that’s a whole ‘nother post……
That's it from me today! I'll see you addicts next time!

YA review Two Lies and a Spy by Kat Carlton

Hey Addicts! I'm back for another review and this time it's of a book I LOVE! I think it's the first book I've given a 5 star to here on Miss Little Book Addicts House of Books. Aint it grand!

Kari plunges into the world of espionage on a mission to save her parents while trying to impress the guy she’s been in love with forever.

When sixteen-year-old Kari’s dad sends her an unexpected text, she and her brother immediately go into hiding. Because when your parents are superspies and your dad declares a Code Black, it can only mean something bad. Very bad.

Kari soon discovers that her parents have been disavowed and declared traitors, and she’s determined to clear their names. Breaking into the Agency seems like a reasonable plan, especially with the help of a team that includes her longtime crush, Luke, as well as her two best friends—an expert hacker with attitude and a master martial artist—and Luke’s popular, vindictive twin sister. Oh, and a new guy, who’s as cute as he is complicated..

I read this book about a month ago now. I was jonsing for a good YA spy book and in the span of five days I read four different spy books. Sad to say out of the four, Two Lies and a Spy was the only one that left me feeling like I had to have the second book RIGHT NOW!
I mean OMG what a fab book. There was everything you could want: fast paced plot, edge of the seat griping action, more that enough mystery and plot twists I wouldn’t have expected. PLUS two very hot guys. One that Kari had been crushing on for ages, Luke, and another foreign boy, Evan, that drives her mad and is always turning up at the most inopportune times and when he’s not really wanted, for Kari at least.
Kari is the main hero who is well developed and is a character that I related too almost instantly! (All the characters were actually really well developed, even the annoying characters. Kari is the daughter of two spies working for the CIA. She is at her high school when things go bad and she gets a distress text from her parents. Cleverly she plans to ditch but ends up having to escape the school through the window of the girls bathroom because said foreign hottie, Evan, was hovering like a creeper stalker. Once free she immediately flees to get her younger, genius brother Charlie, so they can flee with their parents. And that’s where things go really bad!
P.S. Charlie is the coolest 7 year old little brother in history!
The fast paced spyjinx that follow were wonderfully executed by out author Kat Carlton, it was like I could see it all clear as a TV show. And when a book can make me see and feel what the characters are experiencing is beyond great! I wish I could find more books that would the same for me!
description

Back on track……Kari can't prove her parents innocence, and find out what the government have done to them, by herself and ends up having to involve her long time crush, Luke, her bestie Rita, her martial arts bestie Kale, Luke's annoyingly cheerleader b with an itch sister, Lacey, and a reluctant Evan. You see her parents are accused of being double agents for the Russians! That’s enough to put any girl on the edge of the bridge.
Like I said the action in this book is amazing, well done with just the right amount of reality and overt he top spyness to be better than the average YA spy book. I won’t give away the rest of the plot, but wham-bam there are two twists I didn’t see coming and they were what really hooked me on this series. Please release the second one…like…NOW.

There was only one thing I can say I didn’t really like, and that was how Luke suddenly started showing his feelings for Kari, all at once without much lead up, and the romance between Rita and Kale. I would have liked to see that instead of getting one or two glimpses then being told about it later on.
But considering this is the worst thing I can say about this book...I can deal. I just hope in book 2 we get to see more of what we missed with Rita and Kale. Two Lies and a Spy ended with a lot of plot lines neatly tied off, but with enough of a cliffhanger to set up what promises to be an amazing and well worth the time and money series! Fans of Ally Carter will dive into this book head first and float along side the few other great YA spy books/series that are out there for us.
As always, feel free to drop me or MLBA a comment or tweet or email, whatever, if you want to have a fun discussion or if you don't agree with my opinion of this book!
That's it from me this time! Catch you Addicts later!

DynoMoon review Return to Camelot trilogy

Hey addicts! I'm back again with a review of a three book series called Return to Camelot by author Donna Hosie. I tend to not put up reviews of books that I didn't like, but as my blog cohort reminded me, Miss Little Book Addicts house of books does not promise to like all books we review. We give our honest opinions, so in that spirit here we go: (and grab some popcorn because it could be a bit of a long one since I'm going through three books. Extra butter for me please! LOL)

Legend tells of King Arthur, mortally wounded at the hand of the traitorous Mordred in the final battle of Camlann. Before he was taken to the magical Vale of Avalon, Arthur declared that one day he would return, when the kingdom of Logres was once more in need of his leadership.

That day has now come.

It is hard to make friends when you’re constantly on the move. Seventeen-year-old Natasha Roth’s father is a diplomat, and so her mother – who is paranoid about terrorists – has moved Natasha and her brother, Arthur, to their eighteenth house in seventeen years: Avalon Cottage, deep in the heart of a Welsh forest.

Yet the terrorists are closer than they realize.

While out running, Natasha falls into a hidden tomb and awakens the legendary knights of Camelot: young warriors who have been in an enchanted sleep for a thousand years. All have been waiting patiently for the return of Arthur from the mysterious land of Avalon.

And now the knights are awake, they intend to reclaim their king.

When Arthur goes missing, Natasha joins forces with his girlfriend, “Slurpy” Samantha, in order to look for him. Natasha believes Samantha has fewer brain cells than an amoeba; Samantha believes Natasha is a freak. Retracing Natasha’s original steps to the hidden tomb, they bicker their way into a Welsh mountain and beyond, to the realm of Logres where the Knights of the Round Table are rallying once more.

Natasha falls in love with Sir Bedivere, the most loyal of knights to Arthur. He may be in dire need of a 21st Century razor, but he still possesses a set of lime-green eyes that can melt the soul. Yet just as Natasha starts to find confidence in this mystical land, Samantha deserts her. People who play by the rules are of no use to “Slurpy”. Samantha will take her own path to Arthur, aided and abetted by the dark arts which she willingly absorbs from a hot young stranger called Mordred.

A race across magical yet deadly lands is on. Natasha battles dwarf-riders, dragons, and eventually “Slurpy” to reach Camelot, where Arthur is held captive by the barbarian Saxon, Balvidore.

Natasha’s woes become numerous. What will happen to her and Arthur when the knights realise the eighteen-year-old boy they thought was their king, is in fact a math student with appalling taste in girls? Can two people with a one thousand year age gap really have a relationship? And for the love of all things holy, how is a girl supposed to ride bareback in a pair of skinny jeans?

Seventeen-year-old Natasha Roth and her older brother, Arthur, are reunited once more with the Knights of the Round Table. Unfortunately their joy is not shared by Arthur’s girlfriend, “Slurpy” Samantha, whose hatred of Natasha has not been lessened by time or distance since the Roth family relocated to London.

But Natasha’s happiness is short-lived.

The knights come with ill news from Logres: a magical darkness has fallen over the land. The Lady of the Lake, Nimue, is battling against her former lover, Merlin, whom she imprisoned before the enchanted sleep. He has been freed and Natasha soon discovers that her own actions the previous year unlocked more than just a gateway between the past and the present. When “Slurpy” disappears, a frantic Arthur decides they must leave the 21st century once more and return to Camelot.

With her beloved Sir Bedivere at her side, Natasha follows the sound of the bells and leads Arthur and the knights back into Logres. But there are more than bells ringing in her head. Natasha starts to suffer from terrifying visions in which she sees the destruction of Logres.

As the darkness continues to infect the living, the people start turning on each other, accusing outsiders of witchcraft. Terrified that Natasha will be hurt, Sir Bedivere takes her, the dwarf Byron and Byron’s sister, Guinevere, into the safety of his father’s castle. Yet nowhere in Logres is free from fear and suspicion, and Sir Bedivere unwittingly leads Natasha into a terrifying chain of events in which time itself is manipulated.

Natasha must uncover the truth about the danger to Logres and those she loves. Who is the real threat to Arthur? Can myth and legend become fact? What is the secret that “Slurpy” is now hiding?

And for the love of all things holy, when will Logres invent saddles?
Natasha Roth and her older brother, Arthur, have removed the magical darkness that had fallen over the land of Logres.
But all actions have consequences.
Nimue, the Lady of the Lake, is now a sworn enemy. Natasha realises that the only way the land of Logres will truly be at peace is if the sorceress is removed forever. So with her beloved Sir Bedivere, the feisty Guinevere, and a trusty brethren of knights, Natasha plots to free Logres from the malevolence of Nimue once and for all.
Yet Arthur also has problems. Now a father to Mila, he starts to witness a terrifying change over his girlfriend, Samantha, as she struggles to contain the awakened powers of Morgana.
With dark magic coming at them from all sides, Natasha and Arthur decide to make use of the Falls of Merlin: a mystical landscape of waterfalls that connects 21st century England with the mystical world they fell into. A place that does not exist in the future.
And by the end, they will know why.
As Natasha finally discovers the truth about her past link to Logres a tragedy will strike at her very heart. Can Arthur get his young family back to the 21st century and still continue to be the king that Logres demands he be? What is the secret that Sir Gareth has been hiding all this time?

And who is the true owner of Excalibur?

I'll start by saying that this series is a self published one, which is cool by me, there are some great ones out there. BUT this one had a lot of the same pitfalls that are unfortunately common among some self pub's: grammatical and plot errors which I feel would have really benefited from a good editor. Book one especially felt like a first draft to me, and maybe if an editor took a really strong red pen to the series I may even be swayed to like it. Over all this series left me kinda flat. I do however give full credit for having cool covers that are well done and are a clear link to one whole series.

I got these books a while ago, when I met a blogger who said she was apart of this author's street team. The chick was a really nice lady and very convincing so I checked out ratings on the different book sites and decided to give this a shot.
Well I love most things King Arthur related-But I regrettably have to say I am not a fan of this series, and that is a shame because the idea of it is good.
The first book, Searching for Arthur was easily my least favorite.

My biggest problem with this series as a whole is 3 things: 1- Natasha, the heroine, we will get in to that one in a moment. 2-the time travel of it all and calling Camelot Logres, again we will get to that below. 3-The entirely unneeded excessive cursing, sex and graphic violence.

Characters: starting with Natasha- She's just so stereotypical! And whiney, and bratty, and comes off more as a 12 year old instead of a 17 year old. I wanted to relate to her and feel bad for the things she had been through with her family--trust me, my family put the Dys in Dysfunctional--but I just couldn't, no matter how hard I tried over the three books. Also it really bothered me that with absolutely no training or apparent physical strength, this girl was able to pick up a big ass sword and fight in battles with it WITHOUT ANY kind of training. Totally unrealistic, and one of many points like that.

Arthur- obvi, King Arthur brought back to life, and Natasha's older bro-her only family member that is ever on her side and sticks up for her. Yet for some reason, his girlfriend is constantly allowed to trash talk his sister in front of him, call her a freak, and he does nothing about it........ so much for a caring big brother. Plus this Arthur had several of the traits that I have never liked about how King Arthur is often portrayed (even in some of my favorites!), kinda blind to what is really going on around him and not really thinking about the consequences of his actions. You'll see what I mean in book 2.

Samantha- aka "Slurpy" or "Lady Puke". Okay, how can you give a character those nicknames? (they were both used by Natasha, another indication of her immaturity) And no surprise, she is a vessel for Morgana. She got on my nerves with her pettiness and lack of thinking things through. Plus I couldn't connect with her AND I hated that she was painted in a ho-ish color because she wasn't afraid to flaunt what her momma gave her. Plus her whole plot line throughout the entire series was too obvi.

Sir Bedivere- The Knight in Shining Armor........and the only one of the knights I remember with any kind of clarity- partly b/c of his unfortunate beard (but I did like the bearded squirrel! **Ooh squirrel***) It seemed that this Knight was the only one who got any real back story or depth to his character. There are several Knights in this series, a few of which I can't recall the names of, yet are super hot, but it takes more than hotness to create depth for a character. Again this is very unfortunate, because I still think there was a lot of potential there. (Plus I keep getting Bedivere's name mixed up with Mordred's bad guy ally Baldivore)

The time travel--this series is all about it. But you can't rely on Dr. Who to tell you everything you need to know about flipping through time. There were just so many plot holes because of this and there is only so many I can deal with before I get annoyed. This is why I am super picky about what time travel books/movies I read and watch. Logres, okay I can give you that, making the story your own, props for that. But could you please give us more atmospheric description? I don't really care that much about the clothes you so vividly describe, I want to know more of what this land looks like! I couldn't tell one place from another, even using the gory battle scenes as a marker.

Point 3 from above-- I am no prude, young, but still no prude. Nor am I squeamish when it comes to gore--300 I adore you! Hot Spartans **oh squirrel** Sorry, bout that. Anyways, I think everything that is put into a book NEEDS TO HAVE A PURPOSE, and to me the excessive cursing, battle scenes that seemed to get more and more gorier as they came along, just brought me down. (This was way worse in the first book than the other two. Again see my annoyance over Natasha's sword use) And the sex..........
If you've seen any of my other reviews you know I have no problem with the whole "insta-wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am-love". I love it actually, so the whole "MY LOVE" thing several people have gotten all up in arms about, doesn't bother me. What does bother me is how quickly and easily Natasha falls into bed with Bedivere, after like what, a week or something like that of knowing him. Yes teens do tend to go at it rather quickly, without any thought of the consequences, but I don't think we need to further the appearance that that kind of behavior is okay for our teens. (Plus Natasha thought Slurpy a slut for the way she acted with her brother--pot meet kettle.)

Despite all of this, I believe in giving people and books second, and even third chances. I did like the idea of this series. In all my reading I've learned that I some times like the later book in a series way more than the first. Example- Harry Potter. I didn't really like the first book, liked the second only a little more and a little more with the third. But then WHAM the fourth book got way better and that up hill curve only got taller and better with each book of the series. This has happened to me with at least seven series I can think of right now.

After letting my annoyance with book 1 some time to cool, I opened book 2 The Fire of Merlin. It started better than the first, but to be honest after the first several chapters I kinda heavy skimmed--as I call it-- through the rest of the book. Especially after seeing that Natasha was still her annoying, immature self; but I'm used to that now.
Merlin- I'm still not sure if I like him or not--a good thing in D.H's favor, in my opinion.
Guinevere- the only female I actually liked and felt a connection too. Her and her snappy dwarf brother were great and the relationship between them was super cool. (I can't help but think that this was the author's chance at a do over for Natasha and Arthur)
Sir Bedivere has a hot brother, really? Sadly I didn't get on with him. And that's too bad.

As you can see from the book 2 blurb, Natasha's honey walks them right into crazy trouble, saw that one coming.  I will however give D.H. props for how a character we thought would be good turned into a big baddie; I like those kinds of twists! Even if this one was a bit obvi from the get go that it was going to happen.
Which leads me to book 3 The Spirit Of Nimue, which I read hoping for one last chance a redemption for this series.

I was let down again, though admittingly not nearly as much as with the first book. I would give this one a 2.25 star, where as the others would only get 1.5 at best.

Okay this is a pretty sound thrashing, sorry, but I gotta be honest. HOWEVER, this is just MY OPINION! We all know that not all books are going to be 100% loved. If you can look past the time travel plot holes, lack of development for several characters, a stereotypical heroine and a few other things then you'll probably like this series.
It was fast paced, definitely had one or two things that kinda made up for book 1, and has a seriously good following of fans on Goodreads. But then we all know about GR so........

For me, as far as Arthurian retellings go, Meg Cabot's Avalon High is still one of my favorites. This one sadly falls towards the lower third of that list. PLEASE, leave me your comments and lets have a civilized, respectful conversation if you think I am wrong in my opinions. Maybe you can even get me to change my mind.

MLBA and I welcome all discussions so long as they remain respectful on both sides and don't turn into blown out drama because someone reacts without thinking and attacks a blogger or author. That is called internet and Goodreads bullying and we have no tolerance for it here on this blog or anywhere else.

I promise my next review is a good one!
Peace out! DynoMoon
