Beautiful Liar Blog Tour

Hey addicts

Today I have the pleasure of being one of many blog stops for Author Glenna Maynard and her book Beautiful Liar( The Masquerade Series #2

Synopsis

Sometimes life has a way of deciding things for you. Some call it fate.
When Darby Stuart left her high school sweetheart on bended knee three years ago, she never dreamed of seeing him again. The past three years have been rough, but she finally hasher life on track. She has a new job at the Masquerade Club, and a new man in her life Turner Mathews.
When Brody Case was left on bended knee three years ago, he never gave up on his love for Darby. The past three years without her have been hell. After a failed marriage and his career taking a downward spiral he knows he must find her again.
When fate crosses their paths once more, will Brody still feel the same when he discovers the lie Darby fed him years ago? Will fate and lies rekindle what was? Or will Darby find a new life with Turner?

My Review

3 1/2 stars out of five

Beautiful Liar is the second book in The Masquerade series, that can be read as a stand alone.
Darby's character keeps a huge secrete from her ex and can't seem to bring herself to tell him. I understand why she delayed telling Brody. Darby for me always looked out for others more than herself, and would not allow herself to enjoy all that life has to offer. Down the road she meets Turner(whom to me came off as a sleeze ball) but my view of him changed when Turner starts to hang out more with Darby and her mom, and shows that he is an all around good guy.
The story for me was good there was a time or two when I thought Darby was going to loose it due to all of the emotional stress she was under. There were also a few moments when my heart broke for her. Glenna did and awesome job keeping the reader locked in on the plot. There were some points where the characters switched pov which threw me off a few times, but nothing that derailed me from finishing the story.
