*Guest Post* My First time attending RNC(Romance Novel Convention)

I managed to snag a pixie for this guest blog post lol. Kimberly(same Kim who got me hooked on Eversea lol). Kim went to the RNC(Romance Novel Convention) in Vegas last month and I reached out to her while she was in Vegas asking if she wanted to do a guest post on her experience at RNC. Thank goodness she said yes :-)


So without further wait or me blabbering on I introduce one of H.p Mallory's pixies Kimberly..

     Hi, my name is Kimberly Hickey, and I am a book addict that is why I love this blog!!! I had the great pleasure of getting to know so many people just though books, Sherita being one of them.  So after about a year of playing around on Facebook by friending characters of the books I have read and authors of those books, I ventured out to Las Vegas for  my very first time attending The Romance Novel Convention by Jimmy Thomas.(You may not know his name, but you know his face and physic since he is on many and I do mean many book covers).

 

 A friend who I met through a group I belong to on Facebook, met up and went to the RNC. Being Las Vegas virgins, we certainly walked around with wide eyes and were mesmerized by the bright lights and the adult playground that we were spending the next 5 days and nights in. The first night at the Kick Off party, we were fortunate to meet the author that's basically the reason the FB group I am in was created came together for the love of HP Mallory and her characters. HP showed up dressed like many others in Las Vegas – ELVIS !!!

 She was so much fun!

The following night, after a day of classes on everything book related for authors, editors, bloggers etc., was the costume party ! All I can say is what a night !  my best friend  and I dressed up as Pixies, with wings and everything !  There were many lovely and beautiful gowns worn. HP Mallory was dressed as one of her characters, Jolie Wilkins!

 The male suitors (models) were dressed also, we had an Indian, an old western cowboy, a caveman, a Kenny Chesney look alike, a baseball player, and a ranch hand. And they kicked up the dance floor the whole night !

We had lunch with the InD’tale staff, I got to sit with my newest fav author, Natasha Waters (Code Name: Ghost)! They are amazing group and the online magazine is dedicated to Indie Authors.  

This being my first book convention, I was not sure what exactly to expect, but I do know this, I will be there next year!!!

Thanks again Kim for that awesome post. Now if I can only convince her to attend the RT Convention next year in New Orleans then I would be set lol.

 

Look out for 3 new reviews and what I am currently reading coming soon... Now that I will have more time on my hands on my days off since my minions went back to school on Monday(throw's Confetti).

 

Oh and btw the facebook page has now reached 185 likes(Throw's more confetti) so be on the lookout for a contest coming soon..(still trying to figure out what to give away)
