By T. Renee Fike
Harper is an independent girl who’s never relied on anyone but herself. She does what she needs to get by and doesn't have time for friends let alone a boyfriend.
She’s determined to push people away, but there’s one person who’s eager to get to know her. Tuck is a sexy bad boy who doesn't do relationships and makes no apologies for his own actions. He sets his eyes on the strong, independent Harper and will not take no for an answer.
Will Tuck be able to change his bad boy ways to show Harper who he really is? Does he want to or does he only want her as another notch on his bedpost?
Both Harper and Tuck have secrets that they’d rather hide and forget but secrets always have a way of coming out.
Will Tuck and Harper be able to deal with their personal demons or will it rip them further apart? Will everything Harper worked so hard for crumble to the ground or will she realize that needing you is all she has ever really needed?

My Review
3 1/2 out of 5 stars
This book speaks volumes Harper leaves her life behind and heads off to college to escape that was her reality. Upon arriving at college Haper feel that she can live the life that she could not live when she left her parents. She lands a job at a bar and make a few friends, but one day she runs into Tuck the campus player and bad boy. Soon a friendship is formed( against her friends advice not to ) and thing between the two slowly turns into something more. Both Harper and Tuck have painful past and secretes but can both of them open up to realize that they both need each other in order to move on and heal?
I must say that this story between Harper and Tuck has been a enjoyable read. I love how despite Harper's coworkers warnings she decides to spend time with Tuck. Both of them are tortured souls who must learn to trust each other(more Harper trusting then Tuck) with their past. What both do not realize is that their wounds run along the same length. This story at times can be intense with dealing with Harper's nightmares/reliving her past through her dreams. In the latter part of this story I did get a little misty eyed when Harper is bearing her past to Tuck, but all an all a good read.
And to whet your whistle a little here is a quote from the book one from Harper and one from Tuck.
