Joely Morgan never expected to start her life over again just months shy of the Big 4-0. But she didn’t expect her husband to cheat on her either. She packs up her kids and heads home to Mom—who happens to own the most popular restaurant in town. Joely immediately throws herself into emotionally charged cooking, and her passion-infused sweets are an instant hit.
Xander Davy, the much younger, good-looking, smooth-talking restaurant manager, can’t help but notice the new, attractive addition to his kitchen. The only problem, as he sees it, is that she doesn’t seem to know how desirable she is. He quickly decides to remind Joely what it means to feel like a sensual woman again.
Xander’s shameless pursuit makes Joely’s soon-to-be ex rethink letting her go. He uses the children to try to get Joely back, but their sixteen-year-old daughter has other plans. She’s fallen head over heels with none other than Xander, who has his sights set firmly on her mother.
In BACK FOR SECONDS, author Ginger Voight serves up a heaping amount of sensuality and angst in a tale of sexual and personal awakening, one that examines reclaiming womanhood no matter where you are in life.
What is the true name of evil?
The Zodiac Killer, the Hillside Strangler, the Night Stalker, and the Green River Killer all left their mark on California . . . and now the city of angels is under siege.
When fiery, redheaded biker MJ Bennett witnessed her beloved grandfather gunned down on her sixteenth birthday, she made herself two promises. She would continue his quest to save teenagers lost to the dark side of Hollywood—the side tourists never see—and she would never let herself get that close to anyone ever again.
But after meeting traumatized runaway, Haley Roberts, she breaks her own rule. MJ suspects that Haley has narrowly escaped the Hard Candy Killer, a sadistic serial killer targeting teen sex workers with blonde hair and blue eyes.
MJ begins to connect the dots between Haley and a dangerous crime lord who hides his savage sex trafficking enterprise behind legitimate businesses. But the clock is ticking, and the Hard Candy Killer is closing in on the target he wants most, MJ, whose family secrets have her marked for destruction, turning the hunter into the hunted.
Ginger Voight is a screenwriter and bestselling author with over twenty published titles in fiction and nonfiction. She covers everything from travel to politics in nonfiction, as well as romance, paranormal, and dark, “ripped from the headlines” topics like Dirty Little Secrets.
Ginger discovered her love for writing in sixth grade, courtesy of a Halloween assignment. From then on, writing became a place of solace, reflection, and security. This was never more true than when she found herself homeless in L.A. at the age of nineteen. There, she wrote her first novel, longhand on notebook paper, while living out of her car.
In 1995, after she lost her nine-day-old son, she worked through her grief by writing the story that would eventually become The Fullerton Family Saga.
In 2011, she embarked on a new journey–to publish romance novels starring heroines who look more like the average American woman. These “Rubenesque” romances have developed a following thanks to her bestselling Groupie series. Other titles, such as the highly-rated New Adult series, Fierce, tap into the “reality-TV” preoccupation in American entertainment, which gives her contemporary stories a current, pop culture edge.
Known for writing gut-twisting angst, Ginger isn’t afraid to push the envelope with characters who are perfectly imperfect. Whether rich, poor, sweet, selfish, gay, straight, plus-size or svelte, her characters are beautifully flawed and three-dimensional. They populate her lavish fictional landscapes and teach us more about the real world in which we live simply through their interactions with each other. Ginger’s goal with every book is to give the reader a little bit more than they were expecting, told through stories they’ll never forget.

Lacy Abernathy has wanted one thing and one thing only since she was twelve years old. She wants to make music. But she quickly learns that as a woman, her sexuality often goes part and parcel with her dream. At first it works in her favor, getting her on stage with a hot rock star on the rise. But after a whirlwind romance to get her into bed, he leaves her stranded at 19, alone with a baby he refuses to acknowledge.
Three years later she is as bitter as she is stuck. She wants nothing to do with the sexy rocker chick image, especially when it seems to attract every guy she would rather avoid. Her bad attitude gets her fired, again. Her mother issues the ultimatum: Make the next gig work, or give up music entirely.
Lacy ends up back at Southern Nights, an Austin hotspot that had been the source of most of her heartache. There a sexy country boy-turned-rock star Jonah Riley is persistent as he tries to woo her, despite all her best efforts to keep him away. Can she really trust another sexy rocker with her heart, especially when there’s so much at stake?
Ginger Voight is prolific author, freelance writer and optioned screenwriter. Her fiction is diverse, with novels like the edgy, coming-of-age drama DIRTY LITTLE SECRETS, and the fun family adventure for kids of all ages, COMIC SQUAD.
Having grown up reading different authors like Danielle Steel and Stephen King, Ginger has always been drawn more to story than to genre. This shows up in her various stories. Titles such as MY IMMORTAL and TASTE OF BLOOD are a delicious, heady mix of horror, suspense, and romance.
Genre romance, however, has held a special place in her heart, ever since she read her first Harlequin novel when she was only eleven. As a result, Ginger is making a name for herself writing romances of her own, starring women who look more like the average American woman rather than those traditionally represented in the size-biased American media. Her Rubenesque romances were created especially for those heroines with fuller figures, who can still get the man of their dreams if only they believe they can. Such titles include UNDER TEXAS SKIES, LOVE PLUS ONE, THE GROUPIE TRILOGY, THE FIERCE TRILOGY, THE FULLERTON FAMILY SAGA, THE LEFTOVER CLUB and PICTURE POSTCARDS.
Ginger was included in the best-selling book by Smith Magazine NOT QUITE WHAT I WAS PLANNING, featuring her six-word memoir.

#2 - SOUTHERN ROCKER CHICK expected Nov. 21. #3 - SOUTHERN ROCKER DUET expected Dec. 12. My Review
I have been a fan of Ginger Voight since I was introduced to her Fullerton Family Saga series. I absolutely love her style of writing and how she can really pull emotions out of her readers. Her latest trilogy revolves around Jonah Riley and Lacy Abernathy. Southern Rocker Boy is Jonah telling his story. The beginning for me was a real tear jerker with Jonah dealing with the loss of his father and trying to be strong for his mother and little sister. Jonah's story deals with loss and the struggles to help provide for his family, until one night he walks into Southern Nights and see Lacy perform for the first time. He is instantly mesmerized by the fiery little vixen. He takes on a job at Southern Nights just to be close to her(The extra money didn't hurt either). Little does he know by working at Southren Nights his life will change in a big way.
This book is an roller coaster of drama for me and I like it. This is one of those reads where your just as desperate to find out what everyone is hiding from Jonah just as much as Jonah want's in on the loop. When you get to that moment when the cat is out of the bag your going to feel like I felt, Mad as hell. I swear I put my trust and faith into certain characters only to feel like I was the one being pulled by strings. See this is one of the reasons why I love Ginger, she is one of the very few authors that can have me so invested in the story to feel so strongly about certain characters. Those characters are Gay and Jacinda. Let's leave it at that lol. You will find out in due time when you read SRB.
Aside from all the drama and really emotional moments there are some really steamy scenes and a lot of sexual tension between Jonah and Lacy. There are also some swoon worthy moments that will just make you sigh in appreciation for a good country boy.
Southern Rocker Boy is a solid read that will keep you locked in and wanting more when you finish. I can't wait for the next installment when I get to read Lacy's story in Southern Rocker Chick.
By the way the scene stealer in this book is Jonah's little sister Leah with her wise beyond her years personality :-)
