Synopsis
We are not guaranteed anything, not even this life.
Rivers Young is the popular guy untouchable by reality. He is like a star—bright, consuming, otherworldly. The thing about stars, though, is that they eventually fall, and he is no different.
He falls far and he falls hard.
Delilah Bana is the outcast enshrouded in all of life's ironies. Alone, in the dark, like dusk as it falls on the world. When Rivers hits the ground, she is the night that catches him. In the darkness, they meld into something beautiful that shines like the sun.
Only, the greater the star is, the shorter its lifespan.

My Review
This story line will have you an emotional mess. I for one was caught crying while I was at my eldest son's Dr's appointment lol.
This story revolves around Delilah Bana and Rivers Young.
Delilah who is sunshine to Rivers storm. Two teenagers who have known of each other, get to know one another when Delilah is hired to work for Rivers mom as their housekeeper for the summer. Rivers was in a horrific boating accident that left him broken both physically and emotionally. Tired of Rivers depressed state Delilah treats Rivers like he is normal and not broken.
With Delilah's no nonsense attitude, Rivers discovers that the life that he lead before the accident was not the end of his true self. In return Delilah learns that life can be given just as well as it is taken and to love freely and live life to the fullest.
This story line is really deep and full of meaning. There is humor throughout the book and reading Delilah's free spirited personality really had me instantly connecting with her. Though in the beginning I thought this was going to be one of those love stories where the two would eventually get together and all would be right in the world, Then the plot twist happened and I was left devastated. Like I mentioned earlier I was a blubbering mess.
Lindy has really put her heart and soul into this story because as tragic as it was she really nailed this one with the emotional highs and lows throughout the book.
This is a great love story about two people who one was lost but was found by the other to be set free in the process helping the other live through them.
I honestly would love to see this book turned into a movie. Maybe I won't look so crazy crying by myself where as I can cry with other crazy emotional messes like myself lol.
I will say read this in the privacy of your own home and not out in public to reduce the crazy looks or people thinking you were dumped via text lol.
